Pharmacy

As a newly established department in the year 2018, Department of Pharmacy stepped forward in imparting the technical education very effectively. At present, the department is running a 4 years Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) program in and 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm.) program in. Both the programs are approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and Board of technical education, Uttar Pradesh respectively. The present student intake in UG and Diploma programs are 60 each.

With an aim to facilitate the practical exposure to the students along with theoretical knowledge, our department has designated 12 well equipped laboratories for diverse fields of pharmaceutical sciences. In addition to these the department has one Central Instrumentation lab with, outfitted with cutting-edge analytical equipment, for conducting high-level research and precise quality control, enabling students and researchers to perform detailed analysis and innovate in pharmaceutical sciences. One machine room is also well functional at the department which is equipped with advanced pharmaceutical machinery, providing students with practical experience in drug formulation and manufacturing processes, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.

In our institute, we envision a technological-equipped learning environment, with provisions for high internet bandwidth connectivity all across the campus to provide equal connectivity facilities to all the students as well as the faculty. The computer lab of the college is well equipped with computers and software to support many different types of academic and research needs. Further, services rendered by our Language Lab present necessary resource and interactivity tools to support students’ language acquisition and development in the workplace, which is pertinent in international pharmaceutical sector. Together, these facilities create an environment that is appropriate for learning as well as for skill acquisition in general.

HOD's Message

Welcome to Meerut Institute of Technology!

Meerut Institute of Technology is one of the most popular higher education institutions specialized in pharmaceuticals vital for improving the healthcare field.

At MIT, our primary goal is to offer quality education with accredited courses and internship that will allow the learners to gain practical experience. Our academic environment is structured in a manner that would provide our students with the relevant knowledge and techniques about the current and future practice of pharmacy.

Academic Excellence: Undergraduate degrees of study are offered basing on courses that show direction towards achieving the set goals and standards of the pharma industry. Our highly qualified faculty members are all scholar teachers in their fields, with rigorous academic and industry background knowledge. Such a system of teaching and training implies the usage of interactive lectures, practical laboratory activities and observation of clinical practice to provide the student with a broad spectrum of knowledge.

Research and Innovation: We are committed to carrying out research, production of new knowledge and innovation as a way of enhancing our institutional goals and objectives. Our faculty and students are active in research pursuits that touch on significant priorities in health care delivery and development of pharmaceutical sciences. We have developed technology research labs that target important fields like anti-infection, pharmaceutical technology and neutraceuticals and product development. Moreover, our partnership with the most significant pharma corporations and the prime research organizations all across the globe also boost up our research.

Student Development: Our vision is to foster the moral, intellectual, social, as well as the behavioural development of every student. Thus, along with providing the content, which encourages critical thinking and deep knowledge in some spheres, we pay attention to such values as leadership, ethics, and community service. As an institution, we urge our students to participate in co-curricular activities and those that are extracurricular such as seminar and workshops and community and service programs. Such experiences enable them foster useful usable skills in their day to day lives, as well as duly discharge their civic responsibilities.

Global Engagement: We have been cognizant of the need for global partnerships, hence developing good partnerships with universities and research institutes around the globe. These collaborations afford our students potential for research endeavours and experience of standard practices in different parts of the world.

As you visit our website from time to time, I encourage you to discover the programs that we offer to our students, the researches being carried out at the college as well as the extra-curricular activities that we have in Department of Pharmacy, MIT. Whether you are a traditional or nontraditional learner, or an individual who is just exploring the possibilities for your educational future, I wish you had a positive experience exploring our site.
