Faculty Development Programme on “Waste to Energy” Organized at MIT College in Collaboration with MGICCC Meerut, 10 February 2026: Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT), Meerut, in collaboration with the Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Combating Climate Change (MGICCC), successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on the theme “Waste to Energy” on 10 February 2026. The programme was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Director K.L.A. Khan sir, Principal Dr. Himanshu Sharma sir, Dean Students Welfare Dr. Sanjay Mathur, HOD Dr. Sapna Deshwal, HOD Dr. Hema Negi, Dean Agriculture Dr. Raghuveer Ji, and Dean Management Dr. Ankur Goel Ji. The keynote session was delivered by Dr. Narender Kumar Ji, Director, MGICCC, along with Mr. Harish Kumar Kaushik, Nodal Officer (Training), MGICCC. The speakers provided valuable insights into innovative waste management practices and explained how waste materials can be effectively converted into sustainable energy resources. They also highlighted practical applications and the importance of adopting eco-friendly solutions in daily life. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 500 students and faculty members, reflecting the growing awareness and commitment towards environmental sustainability. The programme was successfully coordinated with the dedicated efforts of the MIT Environmental Club team, including Dr. Preeti Singh, Dr. Anjul, Dr. Krishna Kaushik, Dr. Shailender Kumar, Dr. Rashmi Rani, along with Dr. Manish, Dr. Vikash Kumar, Dr. Praveen Shau, Raman Ruhela, and other contributors who played a significant role in organizing the event. The FDP concluded on a positive note, reinforcing MIT’s commitment to promoting sustainable development and environmental awareness through academic initiatives.
