MIET Kumaon

The Devbhumi Foundation was established in 2006, by the promoters of well institution of Uttar Pradesh the “Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology” at Meerut. The trust has taken up challenge to develop one more engineering institute at Haldwani in the name and style “MIET Kumaon”, as the engineering institutions in Haldwani region are very few.
MIET Kumaon has got approval from AICTE in June 2011, running in 10.05 Acres of land under the preview of AICTE.
It is providing B.Tech. programme in four courses of engineering that are CSE, CE, ECE and ME in the initial phase, further it is planned to start M.Tech. programme in later stages as per guidelines of AICTE. The management is committed to create academic excellence, in serene calm environment, state of the art laboratories equipped with all facilities as its hall mark at MIET Kumaon, as its previous institutions.
Haldwani is a town located in the district of Nainital within Kumaon region of Uttarakhand state in India. District Nainital is having a area of 3853 sq km with total Population of 762,909, out of that 79.60% is litrate. Uttarakhand government has formed a new sub-district in Haldwani in Nainital district to facilitate administrative work. The formation of the sub-district will help people deposit their taxes and buy and sell their lands easily.
Haldwani, is one of the biggest commercial centers of the state, is considered to be the gateway to Kumaon Himalayas.
Haldwani is a city, which along with its twin township of Kathgodam forms the
Haldwani-Kathgodam municipal board in Nainital District. Haldwani-Kathgodam Municipal Council was established on 21 September 1942. Currently it is the second largest Municipal Council in the state of Uttarakhand after Haridwar.
